The Justice Ministry ratified 35,137 legal documents through its e-system over the first three quarters of this year at courts and other offices across the Kingdom, including land deeds, marriage contracts and divorces, according to a ministerial report released on Wednesday.

In its report, the ministry said that the achievement has exceeded its target for its automated validation system.

Hamad Al-Harbi, director of the department of certifications, said the system is operational at all branches of the ministry and would reduce paperwork. The system also allows for coordination with other ministries.

He said it now allows citizens to access their data at their nearest ministry branch instead of having to travel to main offices.

He said the Eastern Province recorded the highest rate of ratifications at 12,114, followed by Makkah with 11,803, Riyadh with 4,788, and 1,160 in Qaseem. He said a local branch in Riyadh recorded 982 ratifications. Al-Harbi said citizens have to provide data into the system including identity numbers, and where they are filing it.
