The Academy Dialogue for Training and Public Opinion Polls (ADTPOP) at the King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue (KACND) has organized a training course on communication skills for 60 heads of department at the Shoura Council.

A source from the academy said that the training at Shoura Council headquarters in Riyadh last week sought to promote and introduce the culture of dialogue through a community-based training. Directors of various departments and employees at all functional levels were also present.

“Such training will provide the participants with the basic skills courses for dialogue, and the values of tolerance. It also teaches them how to respect other opinions, ethics and morals in addition to providing them effective listening skills,” the source said.

They will learn the definition and importance of effective dialogue including its mechanisms and etiquette, in addition to individual and social communication learning that enables the trainees to communicate with various social cultural backgrounds.
