The King Khaled Foundation has joined forces with the UN’s Global Compact Platform. This is the first Arab nonprofit organization to sign this agreement. Areas ranging from human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption will be revisited.

The charitable foundation has signed the agreement that includes many different organizations from more than 100 countries. This cooperation promotes UN Global Compact’s principles and initiatives in which civil society organizations, nonprofit and for-profit organizations also participate.

The foundation will receive a wide range of sustainable development recommendations. It will also establish a close link between the Saudi Responsible Competitiveness Index and the Global Charter of the United Nations.

King Khaled Foundation, a philanthropic organization, works to support the 10 principles of the UN’s Global Compact program. By means of development programs and initiatives, they intend to integrate these principles into its activities and strategy.

Two years after joining the treaty, the foundation will put forward partnership projects in the field of institutional sustainability.

It will also encourage Saudi private sector enterprises in order to implement the Global Compact’s goals.

King Khaled Foundation is expected to submit a biennial report to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon briefing its activities and efforts to support the Global Charter, as well any progress made to implement the 10 principles of the charter.
