King Khaled Foundation (KKF) has recently provided financial support worth SR600,000 for two projects, targeting young people in a number of regions across the Kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

KKF’s financial support, which is spearheaded under the slogan of “Saudi youth at work”, aims to empower nationals from both genders to establish their own businesses by providing them with practical training and tools.

The two agreements were recently signed at the KKF’s Riyadh-based premises.

The first project aims to train 200 young women on life skills and employ 170 of them upon the completion of the program.

Meanwhile, the second project seeks to rehabilitate 100 young men and 65 young women on computer and English language skills as well as provide them with technical training. The project will employ 75 and 50 male and female trainees respectively in the private sector at the end of the project’s duration.

Princess Al-Bandari bint Abdul Rahman, director general of KKF, said that foundation is planning on expanding its projects with a focus on the youth, in order to enhance the development process in the Kingdom and empower members of the community in a sustainable manner.
