Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, second deputy premier and minister of interior, who wrapped up his maiden three-day visit to the United Kingdom on Friday, said the two allies are committed to enhanced political and security cooperation.

Prince Mohammed said that he had detailed discussions with British Premier David Cameron on the latest regional and international developments. Sources said the talks covered the various conflicts in the Middle East and the rise of terrorist groups.

During his visit to London, Prince Mohammed also met with several UK officials, including Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond and Defense Secretary Michael Fallon. They held talks on boosting bilateral cooperation.

Prince Charles, Britain’s Crown Prince and Prince of Wales, hosted a dinner in Prince Mohammed’s honor at his official residence in London on Thursday. Those in attendance included Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf, Saudi ambassador to the UK, and the delegation accompanying the deputy crown prince.

In a statement issued shortly after the visit, the Saudi Ambassador in London said the interaction demonstrated the two countries’ commitment to closer ties on a wide range of issues.
