The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues its path of permanent progress and development both economic and social. Under the guidance of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, the Kingdom is committed to playing an increasing global role as a stabilizing factor not only in terms of energy prices but also in the fight against terrorism and in the promotion of intercultural and interreligious dialogue. Its impressive economic development puts the Kingdom as one of the major development engines in the world, especially in the times of economic uncertainty and political turbulence in different parts of the world we are living nowadays.

In the bilateral relationship between Mexico and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the ongoing year is a very special one. In March, the minister of foreign affairs of Mexico paid an official visit to Riyadh and at the beginning of September, the vice minister of foreign affairs had his turn accompanied by a large delegation, in preparation for a presidential visit in December. Our relations are becoming stronger year by year and we see brilliant perspectives for the immediate future.
