Khak-e-Taiba Trust (KTT) Jeddah organized a presidential ceremony to introduce the organization’s newly elected President Ahmed Abdul Hakeem.

Hakeem was engaged with KTT as the director and adviser of the computer center in the previous KTT managing committee.

The ceremony took place in the presence of KTT members and trustees in Jeddah on Sunday.

Mohammed Shameem Kausar, overseas trustee and patron, welcomed the chief guest Masood Ahmed, the principal of the Indian International School Jeddah (IISJ), prominent Indian community members and guests and introduced Ahmed Abdul Hakeem as the newly appointed president of KTT.

In his turn, Hakeem thanked members for giving him the opportunity thrπoughout the past 16 years to offer his services to the community through Khak-E-Taiba, and for his new responsibility as the organization’s president.

“The responsibility being entrusted to me is challenging, I hope to further enhance the image and service of KTT under the guidance of every one. I believe in a totally inclusive and transparent leadership. We definitely need a progressive change and need to compete, not with other community societies, but with ourselves instead,” said the newly appointed president.

Hakeem also emphasized on the importance of holding monthly meetings.

Meanwhile, Ahmed highlighted the social problems ailing the younger generation, stressing that the youth are moving away from culture, traditions and moral values. “Social and political boundaries are melting away and wide horizons are appearing, in this regards we are facing challenges on all the levels, so there is need to focus greater attention on these challenges to save the moral values of our culture and tradition,” said Ahmed.

The principal said he believed KTT was an organization dedicated to strengthening community bonds and upholding traditions.

Aijaz Khan, KTT’s previous president, thanked members of the organization for their efforts and cooperation. He especially thanked KTT General Secretary Syed Khaja Viqaruddin for carrying out the organization’s activities and increasing membership.

Syed Khaja Viqaruddin, general secretary of KTT and trustee, will continue to serve the organization in his current capacity.

“During my tenure as the president and general secretary of this prestigious organization, we worked toward ensuring our community’s welfare and promoting education among the least fortunate members of our society. Under the slogan ‘Service to mankind, service to Allah,’ we achieved great results,” he said.

He congratulated the newly appointed president and wished him the best in his new role.

Siadat Ali Khan, another previous president of KTT said: “Today a dynamic personality is completing his tenure as president and a newly appointed president of KTT is coming: We congratulate them both.”

He also praised the efforts of the chief guest Masood Ahmed for his efforts in enhancing the Indian school.
