A large crowd of mainly young and enthusiastic Saudi automotive lovers came to see the latest models from various car brands at the 34th edition of the Saudi International Motor Show (SIMS) in Jeddah. The four-day automobile show concludes today. More than 16 different models of four-wheel vehicles were revealed at SIMS. These will be released on the Saudi market in 2013.

Also the latest models of passenger cars, station wagons, sports utility vehicles (SUV), pick-up trucks and special purpose vehicles were on display. The show also gave information on automobile financing, lubrication and accessories.

The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) participated in the show by distributing information on quality aspects of spare parts in general and tires in particular.

There was a display for automobile fans that enjoy modifying their sports cars and decorating their motorbikes.

The Kingdom is the largest market for Japanese cars. Automobile products from USA, South Korea, Germany, China and India are also in demand. China’s passenger bus and Indian medium trucks drew a large response from visitors. The variety of sports cars on display made for a glittering attraction.

While fathers were taking a closer look at the exhibited cars, their children were busy drawing the car of the future, the competition held by Toyota. SIMS is the longest running and one of the most important automobile industry events in the Middle East. It provides an ideal gateway for all stakeholders to take advantage of Saudi’s promising growth potential, offering direct access to key market segments in the Kingdom.
