RIYADH: Madinah police have arrested a young man who killed his 22-year-old friend and buried him in the desert last week.
The spokesman for the Madinah police said the parents of the deceased had told the police that their son had been missing for several days. They said that they suspected foul play.
The official said that the parents suspected two of their son’s close friends who spent a lot of time with him.
On questioning the two friends, one confessed to the murder, saying that he had shot the man with a pistol.
The murder is reported to have taken place in the house of the killer. The suspect also showed the police where the victim was buried in the desert.
In his confession, the man told the police that there was a difference of opinion between the deceased and him, which led him to kill the young man.
The age and the nationality of the killer have not been announced.
The police exhumed the body of the deceased from where it was buried. The killer and his friend will remain in custody until the investigations are complete.
