A Saudi citizen has filed a complaint against two Ethiopian housemaids for reportedly torturing his daughter with an iron, said Capt. Abdulaziz Al-Harbi, Eastern Province police spokesman.

The Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution in Hafr Al-Batin is investigating the incident.

The father has alleged that the family maid and another maid working for his wife’s family intentionally burned his daughter in her private parts.

“The child’s mother discovered the burns when she came home one day to find our daughter crying in agony,” he said.

Several housemaids, the majority Ethiopian, have reportedly attacked their employers’ children over the past two years. Many of these children were killed in the incidents, prompting the Labor Ministry to halt recruitment from the African country.
