A Yemeni pilgrim died and nine others were injured, four seriously, when the microbus in which they were traveling from Madinah to Makkah overturned Monday. There were 155 Yemeni passengers traveling in the bus.

According to the spokesman of the Saudi Red Crescent branch in Madinah, they received a call at 10:11 a.m. yesterday about the accident, following which five ambulance teams were dispatched immediately to shift the accident victims to King Fahad Hospital in Madinah.

Meanwhile, in Taif, a number of traffic accidents were reported in a matter of three hours, resulting in the death of a woman, and injuries to 31 others.

Siraj Hemaidan, media spokesman of the Taif Health Department, said a number of teams from different hospitals worked alongside Red Crescent teams to rescue and treat the injured, before transporting them to hospitals.

Of the injury cases, 17 were shifted to Almawiya Hospital on Riyadh Road. The woman died in an accident that took place on the road to Bani Saad, in which four others were injured, while one person was injured in an accident in Qiya and another four in separate accidents in Taif.

According to Hemaidan, the Emergency and Crisis Management team dispatched field teams to various accidents sites to support the Red Crescent to shift the injured to hospitals quickly.
