Makkah Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah has ordered a probe into the deaths of a man and his son, who fell into a manhole close to a commercial complex on Tahlia Road in Jeddah.

The prince also called Amir Mansho, brother of the victim, to convey his condolences to the family.

The prince ordered that the investigating committee quickly find out what happened to the two victims at dawn on Thursday. The prince said that the government would punish those responsible, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday.

The committee would include representatives from the Makkah governor's office, Jeddah municipality, Jeddah police and Civil Defense. The committee would start its work on Saturday.
