Officers from the special road forces department arrested a smuggler with drugs and SR300,000 hidden in his car on the road to Madinah from Yanbu recently.

According to a security official, officers stopped the vehicle at a checkpoint on the road. They became suspicious because the man appeared nervous and confused.

When they searched the vehicle, they found the money, hashish and narcotic pills inside a garbage bag.

The driver was arrested. The Anti-Drugs Force in the province of Yanbu was called to handle the case. It was discovered that the driver has a criminal history of drug smuggling. Investigations are under way. The case will be referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution.
