Health Minister Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah launched a television and still photography studio in the King Abdullah Medical City.

Public relations will be responsible for the biggest modern studio in all of the Makkah hospitals. The studio is equipped with state-of-the-art HD cameras and has a plant for producing and directing medical films.

The minister inspected the studio, which has professional, top-quality cameras with high quality performance and the ability to broadcast live events taking place in the city and outside it in HD quality. Films will be broadcast on the YouTube channel of the city.

The minister expressed his admiration for the studio, especially since its entire staff is made up of Saudi youths who have wide experience in dealing with modern technology. During the tour, the minister was given a brief explanation about the cameras and their functions.

Yasin Malawi, executive general director of King Abdullah Medical City, said work has begun four months ago to provide the center with the necessary equipment to keep up with the current Haj season.

Public Relations Director Adel bin Hamzah Bosei said they were very happy with the launch of the biggest and most developed studio. The studio has been provided with the latest professional photography equipment.

He said the studio has more than seven television and still cameras, in addition to professional lighting equipment and sound insulators that can block out external noise, resulting in high quality filming.

He said the studio is capable of live broadcast over the city’s YouTube Channel without any problems. The channel broadcasts all events and occasions held inside and outside the city in addition to other qualities such as the participation of a number of channels to broadcast any meetings organized inside the city. He added the equipment can be moved around the city to film surgeries.

The city has an extensive archive of past educational and medical films, including the first open heart surgery in the city. A comprehensive and extensive archive of the city’s most important events is being compiled.
