The legal rights of doctors, patients and health service providers will be the focus of the upcoming medicine and law forum, which is to be held in Riyadh from Oct. 21.

Health Ministry spokesman Khaled Mirghalani told Arab News that the forum aims to safeguard human rights and promote employee culture in the medical field in general, as well as raising the level of familiarity with rights and duties in imparting health education, training and rehabilitation.

The forum will address several topics, including the impact of health disciplines in development, patient rights and practitioners’ health and the impact of laboratories, pharmaceutical companies and the insurance industry on medicine.
