Some 81 percent of men support the idea of women working from home, according to a survey published recently in Jeddah.

Local media reported that the survey was carried out by the Khadija bint Khuwailid Center, an affiliate of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

There were diverse opinions about the most appropriate jobs for women, with 77 percent of respondents saying administrative positions. Food preparation and work at entertainment centers followed.

The survey also found that most people support feminization of shops selling products for women. There was also greater community acceptance of women working in these shops.
