JEDDAH: Prince Bandar bin Abdullah, member of the board of trustees of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz International Foundation for Humanitarian Action, spoke at the World Scout Jamboree in Japan.

He expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the invitation and opportunity to present the message of the global peace initiative adopted by his father, the late King Abdullah.

Prince Bandar expressed his deepest thanks and gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for his support for the foundation’s works, as well as thanked the chairman of the board of trustees and other members of the organization.

He said the late King Abdullah was keen on this initiative and provided all means of support to it since its establishment in 2011.

The initiative aims to create and instill positive change in communities around the world, he said.

“The foundation aims to provide and support charity work around the world, as well as provide services to the education, health, and economic development sectors,” he said.

He gave the examples of several countries, such as Somalia, Niger, Afghanistan, Mali, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan and India, among others.

“Today, we continue with what my father King Abdullah began, and carry on with initiatives that serve humanity everywhere,” he said.
