The Justice Ministry has sanctioned and disciplined 600 employees at offices throughout the Kingdom for absenteeism, neglecting their work, and failing to carry out tasks on time.

The ministry took the decisions after observing the behavior of the workers over a one-year period, according to a report in local media.

Fahad Al-Bakran, spokesman of the ministry, was quoted as saying that these employees were monitored since last year Ramadan and reports compiled and sent to top management.

He said deductions and disciplinary proceedings against employees would be implemented gradually in accordance with Article 32 of the regulations. He said salary deductions vary between a minimum of five days and a maximum of three months.

The ministry had previously warned some employees in writing about their poor performance.
