RIYADH: A Saudi army officer’s wife has sought Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s help for her six-year-old daughter who’s suffering from a bone disease.

Col. Mohamed Hassan Albarqa has been missing for 25 days while on duty at the Kingdom’s Southern Border.

The woman requested the deputy crown prince, who’s also the defense minister, to have her daughter transferred to a specialized hospital with modern facilities in Riyadh.

“Her transfer to a specialized hospital in the capital city would ensure her chances of recovering from the bone disease,” an online publication quoted the woman as saying.

The woman said her husband had earlier made a request for the transfer of his daughter, but she has not yet been shifted. She said that at the time, her daughter was at the Armed Forces Hospital in Tabuk.

When her father was reassigned, the child was transferred to their house in Barq province in the Southern Border region.

“When my daughter learned later that her father was missing, her condition deteriorated,” the woman was quoted as saying.

The child, who suffers from a decaying bone disorder, was later admitted to the military hospital in Khamis Mushayt.
