King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center and a local company have launched a blood donation campaign for patients in Jeddah, Riyadh and Jubail.

The hospital has a mobile clinic staffed by specialists and nurses that go around to companies and malls to get people to donate blood. They recently visited Al-Harbi Company's headquarters in Jeddah where employees took part in the initiative.

Loran Kamal, the spokesperson for the company, told Arab News that they took part in the campaign as part of their social responsibility plans.

“It’s a noble duty to help others who are in need. It also reflects the spirit of unity and compassion among members of the community,” she said.

Asim Ahmed, a Saudi citizen, said the clinic has all the facilities to ensure donation in a clean and safe environment. It was good way to contribute to society, he said.
