Tabuk Gov. Prince Fahd bin Sultan has ordered the setting up of a field hospital near a well in Haqel, where the Civil Defense Department has launched a major operation to recover the body of six-year-old Lama Al-Rouqi, who accidently fell in the well on Dec. 20.

The hospital will provide health services to Lama’s relatives, as well as to some 600 workers at the site.

The governor also instructed to take care of Lama’s mother by assigning a special doctor and a nurse.

“All moral and material potentials should be mobilized to take the girl’s body out of the well as quickly as possible,” he said.

He also instructed the chief administrative officer in Haqel to visit the area and inquire about the requirements of Lama’s family, as well as the workers there. He also urged the civil defense to ensure the safety of workers involved in the hectic search operation.

Saudi Aramco denied press reports that the oil giant had demanded huge sums of money to support the search operation.

“We express our deep sorrow over the death of Lama and convey our sympathies and condolences to her family,” the company said, adding that Saudi Aramco had responded quickly when the Civil Defense requested their assistance.

“Our company is continuing its efforts to search for Lama’s body using all its capabilities,” the statement said.

“There is no truth in the statement made by Lama’s father that Saudi Aramco had demanded money for this work,” it added.
