The Philippine Embassy registered 410 new overseas absentee voters (OAV) at the Al Jazeera International School in the Eastern Province recently.

The two-day registration was conducted in parallel with the Embassy on Wheels (EOW) consular outreach program headed by Minister and Consul General Marshall Louis M. Alferez.

The OAV team also facilitated the transfer of overseas absentee records, reinstatement of three overseas voting records, and activation of eight inactive overseas voting records due to failure to vote in two consecutive elections.

The embassy noted that Thermavir S. Ocampo personally went to the OFW venue to activate his OAV record. He’s based in Riyadh.

The OAV registration is being held at the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh during EOW missions under the embassy’s jurisdiction until Oct. 31, 2015.

Filipinos are reminded to bring their old COMELEC ID cards when availing of consular services. The next OAV mobile registration will be held at the Al Jabalain Hotel in Hail on March 6-7.
