The General Directorate of Prisons has said that locations for the roll-out of long-distance prosecution are soon to be finalized. This new development comes after recent success in implementing distance prosecution in Al-Malaz prison in Riyadh.

Col. Abyoub bin Nahait, official spokesman for the directorate, said that distance prosecution has been partially implemented in a number of prisons, saving time and resources in court rulings.

"The distance prosecution mechanism conforms to a comprehensive system that connects prison directorates with courts.
