Young Saudis and expatriates are taking crash courses in communication, management and leadership skills designed by industry experts and academics to improve their job prospects.

Dawoud Al-Rahim, who runs a course for university students heading into finance and other industries, said there has been an “overwhelming response so far” from graduates.

He said his course provides students with management skills using the best technical methodologies and systems to boost their resumes.

The course is held two hours a day, three times a week over one-and-a-half months. “We plan to expand the project to other cities so that more students can benefit from it,” he said.

Similarly, a course for soft skills development called “Uniqueness in Managing Life” was arranged recently at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
