Prince Miteb bin Abdullah, minister for the National Guard, has affirmed that the National Guard and all wings of the country's armed forces are well prepared for any emergency that may occur in the near future.

He said the National Guard works in cooperation with the Interior Ministry as a unified team to address any emerging issue before it develops.

Prince Miteb recently visited the province of Al-Ahsa as part of a series of scheduled annual visits to various industrial sectors that maintain employees of the National Guard.

“I was pleased with the high spirits and willingness of the staff to make sacrifices and perform their duties in defense of our Islamic religion, our security, and our country,” he said after visiting the King Abdulaziz and King Abdullah Brigades on Wednesday.

He said that the National Guard, as directed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, seeks to provide all the needs of the military sectors staff in all regions, noting that the king is a strong supporter of all projects and development initiatives in the military sector.

“Our country is experiencing a comprehensive developmental renaissance in every province, city, and region”, said Prince Miteb in his speech. He said that the National Guard is proud of its involvement in education, health and housing.

Regarding a new branch of King Saud University for Health Sciences that was opened Wednesday, he said: “The graduates of King Saud University for Health Sciences will work not only at health facilities of the National Guard, but also all hospitals across the Kingdom.

Prince Miteb meanwhile expressed his condolences to the Al-Qadi family of Dhahran for the death of their son, Abdullah bin Abdul Latif Al-Qadi, in the United States. US authorities have charged a man for the murder of Abdullah. Members of the Al-Qadi family thanked Prince Miteb for his visit.
