The Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed the negative impacts of the stiff competition between the public and private sector companies in the field of land investments recently.
A meeting between the chairman of the Makkah chamber, Maher bin Saleh, and chairman of the Saudi Council of Chambers Abdulrahman Al-Zamil discussed the problems facing the real estate industry because of the competition between the public and private sector companies in addition to the difficulties being experienced by Haj and Umrah establishments.
Al-Zamil confirmed the commitment of the Saudi Council of Chambers in standing by the Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and supporting it on all issues, calling on the chamber to prepare a detailed study about problems and difficulties that its employees face to be presented to relevant authorities.
He pomised to arrange meetings for the Makkah chamber with ministers, especially with the minister of finance to discuss obstacles that the sector faces and with the minister of Haj to convey the difficulties facing businessmen in the Haj and Umrah sector.
He also called on chambers of commerce and industry to get rid of the administrative laxity and support the state in implementing its plans and programs for greater economic stability.
He mentioned the role of the Shoura Council in supporting investors’ issues in various fields and called on the Makkah chamber to open communication channels with Shoura members and keep them updated with the obstacles facing investment activities.
Al-Zamil described the Makkah economy as sustainable and open for growth through the gigantic development projects being implemented in the holy city.
