RIYADH: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) has announced the opening of 1,099 new jobs in various areas to help save lives, an online report said.
The new job openings came on the heels of the launch of the National Transformation Program (NTP) for 2020 which establishes strategic objectives to achieve specific interim targets in 2020.
“The new jobs include 99 resident doctors, 14 specialists in emergency medicine, 870 emergency medical technicians and 116 health assistants,” the report said.
To fill these jobs, the SRCA will hire the best and the brightest of national personnel in accordance with the directives of Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, SRCA head.
The new team members will undergo a high level of training in colleges and universities accredited with the SRCA in the field of ambulance and emergency medicine.
The report said: “Agencies are currently working to create a healthy environment for the work of the SRCA and to provide the best potential for integrated ground, air and sea services to help save lives. This is in addition to the establishment of emergency centers and air ambulances in all cities and regions of the Kingdom.”
The SRCA said that it is rapidly and constantly working for the development of its employees administratively as well as technically.
In this vein, the SRCA has formed a training department, in addition to foreign scholarships for its employees so that they can become more competent in responding to emergency situations.
“No effort has been spared to make the SRCA succeed in its task of saving lives as fast as possible in accordance with the goals of the Saudi leadership, as set forth in the national transformation program,” an SRCA source said.
