RIYADH: Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University (PMU), one of the largest private universities in the Kingdom, has signed an agreement with a British education institution to set up a college for people with visual disabilities.

The agreement with the Royal National College (RNC), which provides education for the visually impaired, was signed on Wednesday. The new institution would be named the Prince Sultan College for people with visual disabilities, the PMU media department said on Thursday.

Members of the college, which runs under the foundation of British royal Prince Charles, had traveled to the Kingdom for a four-day visit. They toured the PMU campus and Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development, to see the facilities, infrastructure and academic environment.

The RNC will design the curriculum of Prince Sultan College and help set up systems for the effective education of people with these disabilities in the country.
