Bazm-e-Osmania and Indian Cultural Society (ICS) jointly organized a get-together to welcome the new Indian consul general in Jeddah recently.

Welcoming Consul General B.S. Mubarak and other guests ICS President Arif Quraishi said it is the tradition of ICS and Bazm to welcome new Indian diplomats.

“Our services have been in place since 38 years. We are focusing on providing educational services to Indian students in the Kingdom, which include free distribution of school uniforms, old textbooks and payment of fees for needy students.

“Additionally, we celebrate the Independence Day and Republic Day every year,” he said.

Quraishi praised Mubarak for his excellent services for Indian Haj pilgrims.

Dr. Dilshad Shamsi, ICS patron, said the purpose of the welcome party is to foster friendly ties within the Indian community. Azhar Zai, ex-member of the International Indian School Jeddah managing committee, thanked and congratulated the ICS and Bazm for arranging the party.

Mubarak congratulated ICS and Bazm for their commendable activities.
