The new King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) will offer job opportunities to more than 3,000 Saudi men and women, said Prince Fahd bin Abdullah, head of the General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA).

These jobs will be provided through partnerships formed with private sector companies at the airport, such as shops, hotels and maintenance and construction companies. GACA has already recruited 107 Saudi engineers who graduated from Saudi universities and through scholarships abroad, said Prince Fahd. “GACA has trained and qualified graduates in this field during the implementation of the project for scientific expertise,” said Prince Fahd during an inspection tour of the project.

He pointed out that trainees on the job are subjected to programs designed specifically for training under the supervision of the project manager. The project will work on the replacement of foreign labor with national cadres in the long run to continue to develop the project.
