JEDDAH: The Makkah governorate launched a new social media account on Saturday called "Makkah Region" to announce the status of project developments in the region and the provinces.
Sultan bin Arar Dosari, spokesman of the Makkah governorate, explained that the site will be handled by the Department of Public Relations and Media of Makkah governorate along with the governorate's Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram accounts.
He said this new social media site will profile projects of the region and 17 provinces, and will also cover events and special occasions happening in the governorate.
