The General Director of the Labor Offices in the Makkah region, Abdul Munem Al-Sheheri said that the Ministry of Labor intends to establish departments at the Labor Offices to specifically serve young Saudi businessmen. These departments will receive any member of the Business Youth committee of the Jeddah Chamber for Commerce and Industry to provide services to them in coordination with other government organizations.

“The Labor Office will cooperate with the Human Development Fund, the Zakat Department and the Saudi Credit and Saving Bank to provide special services to young businessmen that can help to resolve obstacles to their success,” Al-Sheheri said during his meeting with young Saudi businessmen.

Al-Shehri met with a number of young businessmen from the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce during a forum entitled “Challenges for Young Businessmen’s Projects” with the Ministry of Labor.

Young entrepreneurs exchanged their ideas and views on the role of small and medium enterprises in creating jobs.

The forum discussed several obstacles faced by young businessmen in recruitment, duration of municipal procedures of licenses, work permit fees (which are estimated at SR2,400 on average), and the need to start studies in cooperation with government agencies to help small and medium enterprises succeed.
