JEDDAH: A new video emerged Monday clearing a Bangladeshi worker from charges of sexually assaulting a child. The footage shows that the young boy he had supposedly forcibly kissed was his nephew.

The mall worker was arrested last month by the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (Haia) based on a video showing him kissing the boy on a battery-operated toy ride in Al-Qasr Mall in Riyadh.

The new video shows the boy with his father and the worker, who is his uncle. The Haia has not commented on the video. The man is still in detention, according to reports.

The 20-second video of the purported sexual assault went viral on social networking sites. In the video, the man stops the battery-operated car at one corner of the mall and grabs the boy. He then kisses him multiple times even though it appears the boy is pushing him away.
