The Riyadh-based King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue (KACND) concluded its five-day English training program recently under the theme “certified trainer for promoting culture of dialogue” with the participation experts in the field of dialogue.
The English training session held at the Academic Dialogue Center is part of the KACND’s effort to broaden the base of promoting the culture of dialogue in English and facilitate access to others through language and culture.
The initiative was in the context of its efforts to prepare qualified instructors to share their expertise with other countries and communities through interactions within the framework of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah’s call for interfaith dialogue and promoting the culture of dialogue at local and international levels.
Such training will be in the interest of Saudi academics who could learn from certified trainers from the KACND in cooperation with UNESCO and the Organization of World Scouting and other organizations involved in the dialogue.
Khalid Al-Dosari, a certified instructor, said such initiatives would expand horizons for coaches to reach out to others. “We will seek to invest in strengthening the dissemination of a culture of dialogue in which it is aligned with the KACND mission. This is a great step and quantum leap that seeks to expand its access to different communities and different cultures,” said another participant, Mohammed Almuhaize.
According to him, this will bridge the gap that may hinder the other to identify other culture and open dialogue with them as a basis for dealing and consolidating cultural concept of other civilizations.
“This will eventually make us more open-minded, diversified in our work as a peace-loving people,” Almuhaize added.
