JEDDAH: The National Water Company has introduced a new service to transfer meters electronically for its customers in Riyadh and Jeddah via its e-branch (www.nwc.com.sa). The service shall be executed after the customer submits an application to transfer the meter in his name.
NWC explained that its e-branch offices in Riyadh and Jeddah have received more than 6,000 requests for adding a new owner, and all requests with valid documentation have been executed.
Naif Al-Ossaimi, executive director of customer experiences, said this new service is important because many properties are sold without notifying NWC and transferring the meter. Previously, customers had to visit Customer Service Centers to apply for transfer of ownership. However, they will not have to do this anymore. They may submit the request from any computer, tablet or mobile phone and it will be executed within one working day.
