Madinah springs back to life after a decade

MADINAH: Streams have started flowing in the Madinah region after an interruption for almost a decade, thanks to the weather conditions.
According to local media, farmers in villages and governorates were pleased and running water returned to valleys after the end of flash floods.
Teams of a weather website documented the flowing of Ayn Al-Abraq Spring to the west of Madinah, which is located on the road leading to Al-Faqra heights. This spring is four kilometers from the main road, which is rough because of floods. Many people say this spring is Najal Wadi Al-Abraqin.
Some springs in Yanbo Al-Nakheel, such as Ayn Al-Baraka and Al-Fajja flowed again after remaining dry for over a decade, the report said.
To the south of Madinah, Wadi Al-Fara flowed again to irrigate thousands of palm trees. Other springs witnessed an increased amount of water, including Wadi Al-Fara.
A historian has said that Wadi Al-Fara had more than 50 springs, but the lack of rain pushed farmers to dig wells in the old Kayuof area.
