MADINAH: The health department in Madinah recently opened an investigation at Yanbu General Hospital after the exchange of complaints between the director of nursing and a female worker who would wear makeup while on duty.
The director of health affairs in the region, Dr. Ahmad Al-Sughair, ordered an investigation of the complaint after the exchange of accusations.
Sources told a local publication that the nurse filed a complaint via e-mail to the director of health of the region, after her superior recorded observations against her for wearing makeup, noting that this accusation is the result of a dispute over claims of a leave from work.
The nurse said that the charges against her can damage her reputation and question her ethics.
The spokesman for the Madinah health department, Fouad Al-Duqul, said the case and the concerning procedures are considered internal affairs, and should be subjected to the rules and regulations within the workplace inside each establishment.
