A Filipino nurse working in Hafr Al-Batin central hospital foiled an attempt to smuggle 984 Captagon pills to a patient.

Two unknown people tried to smuggle the pills to the patient who was admitted in the hospital’s emergency ward.

The nurse became suspicious of the movements of the two men as they placed a bag under a bed at a distance from the prisoner’s bed.

She watched as the prisoner tried to change his bed several times to get to the bag. She immediately called the hospital’s administration and the prisoner’s guards discovered that the bag contained 984 Captagon pills, a substance banned in the Kingdom.

Sources said that the prisoner asked to be admitted to the hospital complaining of some pain. Later, two people tried to smuggle the pills to the patient but their attempt failed.

Press spokesman for the General Prison Directorate Captain Abdullah Al-Harbi said security members who were accompanying the prisoner said they found a bag full of pills that was placed under a bed by two unknown persons.

The anti drug directorate identified the two people through the hospital’s security cameras.
