JEDDAH: The Foreign Ministers of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states recently condemned Israeli violations in Palestinian territories, calling the actions a violation of international law.

The ministers passed a resolution confirming the Palestinian sovereignty over East Al-Quds and the Muslim nations’ refusal and condemnation of the actions of the Israeli occupation authorities.

The resolution was passed at an extraordinary meeting on East Al-Quds, in response to a request by Saudi Arabia in New York on Wednesday.

The meeting called on the United Nations Security Council to take swift action to compel Israel to cease violations. It also urged to UN to adopt a resolution, set a timetable and take practical steps to end the Israeli occupation.

The ministers also called for an international conference to achieve a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East based on the international legitimacy resolutions.
