The Public Education Evaluation Commission (PEEC) is continuing to receive online applications for professional licenses in the field of public education as per the specified terms and conditions.

The PEEC is a regulatory body that monitors educational institutions to ensure that teachers and the rest of the technical staff maintain a high level of performance.

“To qualify for a professional license, the applicant has to log on to the commission website and complete the formalities,” a PEEC official said. The applicant must be a Saudi citizen but not a government employee. He should a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university as minimum qualification. However applicants with a post-graduation or a Ph.D. degree will be given priority, he said.

Other requirements, he said, include professional experience of not less than 10 years in a public or private educational facility, in addition to other eligibility criteria. The candidate will have to appear for a personal interview to be conducted by PEEC.

The official noted the “PEEC grants all types of licenses such as public school performance evaluation license, professional performance for staff members in public education including teachers and those in the higher range,” alluding to the range of services offered by the PEEC. An applicant is able to obtain more than one license once the required terms and conditions are fulfilled.
