Jeddah Community College (JCC), one of the colleges of King Abdulaziz University, organized a big ceremony at Al-Hyatt Jeddah Continental Hotel in honor of Ibrahim bin Ismail Kutbi, who recently completed his JCC deanship.

KAU President Osama bin Sadiq Tayyeb was present along with his deputies, deans of the university colleges, the former JCC deans, JCC faculty and administrative staff, and other guests.

After the ceremony had been inaugurated, Ahmed bin Saleh Alabdulwahab, the current JCC dean, presented his speech, in which he highlighted Kutbi’s achievements during his deanship, particularly the college’s acquisition of the international academic accreditation given by the Council of Occupational Education (COE) in the US. The college is the first in the Kingdom and the Middle East to have obtained this accreditation. Although the college is only 10 years old, it has now become the COE’s representative and a guide for colleges in the Kingdom and the Gulf region to acquire such academic accreditation.

Alabdulwahab said Kutbi’s policy during his six years as a dean had led to the development of the college’s programs, and enhanced the faculty and staff expertise, which had put the college in a distinguished position. He promised to follow the footsteps of Kutbi and of the other former deans, and be a worthy successor to the best predecessor.

Subsequently, KAU President Osama bin Sadiq Tayyeb briefed a speech, describing Kutbi as a tireless worker. He said it was not surprising to see his efforts resulting in great achievements for the JCC.

Kutbi himself also gave a speech, in which he reviewed the march of the college, its important developments, and the new experiences achieved by hard work and perseverance. He praised the college faculty and management, as well as the unlimited support from the university management.
