RIYADH: United in grief, the Pakistani community in the Kingdom, expressed their thoughts and prayers for victims of the brutal Lahore attack.

A powerful blast on Sunday ripped through the massively crowded Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park, a recreation facility thronged by a large number of people on weekends, killing at least 70 people, including women and children.

The Pakistani community stood in complete unanimity in this hour of grief to strongly condemn the cowardly act of terrorism.

Sayeed Ahmad Jatt, PML-N president in Riyadh, condemned it and said: “It is a senseless and inhuman act that exposes the inhuman face of the perpetrators of terrorism.”

Mahmud Ahmad Bajwa of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), said: “This is a senseless and inhuman act.”

He urged the Pakistan government to punish the perpetrators of such heinous crimes according to Islamic law.

Javed Akhtar Javed, president of a voluntary organization, described it as a national tragedy.

“We are united and stand firm with our government to defeat terrorism once for all through all possible means,” he said.

Chaudhary Faryad, a businessman, condemned the attack. “This is a very, very tragic event,” he said.

Ghaffar Khan, a business executive turned actor, said: “The brutal attack on children and families enjoying a weekend is a sure sign of cowardice. This is not Islam.”

Waleed Jameel, a sales executive, said: “I am shocked to learn of this senseless and cold-blooded act of terror and denounce it in all possible manner.”
