RIYADH: Pakistani staff working at Al-Faisaliah Hotel here organized a community function with other Pakistani expatriates to commemorate their country’s national day.

They prepared a long flag to mark the special occasion and had set the stage in the national flag’s color to add to the patriotic fervor in their celebration.

The colorful function, held recently to mark the auspicious occasion, was organized at the hotel for families and friends among staff members. The lavish celebration began with the national anthem of Pakistan.

Presiding over the session, Muhammad Asghar Mubarik, a restaurant manager at Al-Faisaliah Hotel, greeted attendees and thanked them all for being there for the auspicious occasion to commemorate Pakistan’s national day with traditional gaiety and fervor.

In his welcome remark, he highlighted the importance of the day, Pakistani history and development so far, and recounted the countless sacrifices by their leaders through which the country earned its freedom.

Ejaz Mehmood, a Pakistani community leader, thanked the hotel management and his associates for such a wonderful gathering on the occasion.

All attending members joined in to cut a special cake on the occasion.
