RIYADH: A delegation of Shoura Council visited the Public Education Evaluation Commission (PEEC) recently to know about its national programs, projects and goals in relation to the Vision 2030 plan.

Nayef bin Hishal Rumi, the governor of PEEC, received the delegation including Ghazi bin Zagar, a Shoura member of the human resources committee, and Lubna Adul Rahman Al-Ansari, vice chairman of the Committee on Health Affairs.

Speaking on the occasion, Rumi said the PEEC is involved in pursuing projects in line with Vision 2030 by promoting high educational and scientific methodology standards.

“The plan announced by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman is clear and comprehensive. The commission has ensured that its goals and objective meet the Vision 2030 demands,” he said.

Expressing happiness over the delegation’s arrival, Rumi said, “The team’s visit has enhanced the relationship between the PEEC and the Shoura Council in the framework of the strategic national partnership highlighted by the Vision 2030 plan.”

He said the commission considers the visit as significant in view of the Shoura Council’s role in legislation and consultation regarding development.

Saleh Al-Shamrani, deputy governor, briefed the Shoura members on the commission’s terms of incorporation and its objectives and reviewed the progress of its projects and programs.

He also discussed the commission’s central role on the evaluation of education in the Kingdom and its relevance as well as efficiency to support development and the national economy by producing quality graduates.

Al-Shamrani gave a presentation on the Saudi Qualifications Network (SQN) system, describing its objectives to help realize the goals set forth in the Vision 2030 plan.

The SQN is a body that recognizes all programs and certified training that contribute to national development.
