RIYADH: Najran Gov. Prince Jalawi lauded the Civil Defense recently because of its role in helping residents in the wake of heavy rainfall and runoff floods experienced in Najran

The governor expressed his appreciation recently during the celebration of International Day of Civil Defense in the region.
“I commend the Civil Defense indeed. I am beyond words in expressing my thanks for all the good things that have been done in relation to the rainfalls and floods recently,” he said.
He based his commendation on the report submitted to him by Major General Ali Al-Omari on the work of the Civil Defense in the region.
“What you’ve done was all in accordance with the Vision 2030 plan announced recently by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman,” he said.
For his part, Al-Omari said that Civil Defense personnel “risked life and limb to do what they could during and after the heavy rains and floods experienced in the region.”
“They were out on the streets for any citizen or motorist stranded in the floods who needed help and assistance at the risk of their own safety,” he said.
“I thank Gov. Prince Jalawi for his support and encouragement.
It will go a long way in encouraging us to do our level best in discharging our duties and responsibilities,” he said.
He also expressed his thanks to King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif who’s also the Interior Minister, and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who’s also the Minister of Defense, for their support.
“I hope and pray that we’ll always be healthy so that we can continuously discharge our duties,” he said.
