The Philippine Embassy welcomed the recent appointment of Rustico Dela Fuente and lawyer Alexander Padaen as the new labor attachés in Riyadh and the Eastern Province.

“We welcome our new labor attachés. They have very challenging posts, but we know their capabilities. Both of them are career-driven as far as the fulfillment of their duties is concerned,” Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago told Arab News.

He said that they are “a welcome addition to embassy staff in delivering services to Filipino workers in the central and eastern regions.”

Dela Fuente replaces Adam Musa, who completed his six-year-tour of duty and left the Kingdom in September, while Padaen transferred from Jeddah. Jainal Rasul Jr., also a lawyer, has replaced him.

Dela Fuente also served as labor attaché in Riyadh from 2006 up to the middle of 2010. After serving in Riyadh, he was posted in Brussels, Belgium, where he served until 2012.

He graduated from the Far Eastern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree (magna cum laude) and has completed the academic requirements for a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from the premier University of the Philippines (UP).

Padaen, on the other hand, received his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the UP College of Law and served as director of the Adjudication Office at the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
