eXtra Stores have apologized to customers for the mistakes that have taken place during their ongoing discount campaign, the largest in the Middle East.

The apology comes after the Ministry of Commerce and Industry shut down two of the company’s stores after detecting violations.

“We are ready to take necessary measures to win the satisfaction of our customers,” eXtra said in a statement.

The company thanked customers for their trust and apologized to them for the mistakes in prices and distribution that took place at some branches in Jeddah.

eXtra confirmed that discount festival would continue until Nov. 24. “We have received more than 350,000 customers at our 36 branches across Saudi Arabia in the first day of the campaign,” a company statement said.

“This figure reflects the credibility of this annual discount campaign, which has been taking place for more than 10 years,” the company said.

The huge turnout of customers and the large number of products on display had created some mistakes in the speed of service and pricing of products, the statement said.

“Therefore, we apologize for any error that took place beyond our control at some branches,” it said.

“eXtra always accords priority to the interests of its customers,” it said. “The company is committed to take appropriate actions to satisfy the needs of its customers, and we welcome their proposals to improve the level of our services,” eXtra said.
