Prince Khaled Al-Faisal has thanked Makkah's people and government officials for supporting him during his tenure as the city's governor in a handwritten farewell message posted on social networking sites.

“I thank the people of Makkah province for their understanding, cooperation and support during the successful implementation of development projects in the province, and the staff of all government departments and private establishments. My special thanks go to my own staff at the governor’s office under the command of Abdullah Al-Khodairy,” the newly appointed education minister said in his message.

New Makkah Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah praised Prince Khaled for developing the province and the holy city and making Haj easier and comfortable for pilgrims. He said Prince Khaled had met the aspirations of the city's people.
