RIYADH: During its two-day meeting at the headquarters of the Court of Grievances in Riyadh, the Administrative Judiciary Council approved the promotion and appointment of 74 judges. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, President of the Supreme Judicial Council.

The Secretary General of the Administrative Judiciary Council Sheik Fahd Al-Ghannam said that the council issued a number of resolutions concerning various issues listed on its agenda. The decisions involved the appointment of 16 judges in a number of courts in addition to the appointment of 13 assistant judges.

Al-Ghannam said that the council also approved the promotion of 58 judges of varying judicial degrees. He explained that the council also approved the formation of a number of judicial departments for the best interests of the judicial function at large.

Al-Yousef called on all the judges holding the diploma degree in the specialty of administrative law to always fear God, in public and in secret, to maintain the integrity of their work and be truthful for the trust and confidence invested in them by the rulers and leadership of the country.

During the meeting, Al-Yousef spoke with students enrolled in the diploma degree in administrative law for the academic semester 1435/1436 at the Public Administration Institure.

He said: “Such qualification and rehabilitation will be directly reflected on the good quality of rulings and judgments, and will entrench justice. The Court of Grievances has, through a number of development phases, harnessed all scientific capabilities and judicial judgments, in addition to applying the electronic systems to better serve the administrative judiciary,” he said.
