The Control and Investigation Board recently put forward a number of proposals to curb forgery of academic certificates, local media reported. Some of these proposals involved the establishment of a specialized national center directly linked with the Council of Higher Education to verify academic certificates and their equivalent degrees.

The board’s report suggested that the center should be directly supervised by the Royal Court to guarantee its impartiality.

Other topics discussed by the board recently include infractions made by illegal workers reported by Bathaa neighborhood residents, and other Riyadh suburbs. The board’s assessment confirmed that the disturbances still take place in the same neighborhoods, and in some cases, they have worsened. Illegal workers are still gathering in large numbers in the same areas, the report said.

On the other hand, the board detected some other positive actions made by government bodies, including government officials willing to cooperate more with the board supervisors during inspection rounds.
